Used-equipment handover
Record the installed controller rather than its family name
Request the machine serial, controller hardware identification, firmware or program version and any licensed options. The shuttle and loader catalogues describe reference control arrangements; they do not establish the controller retained in a used cabinet. Photograph the actual controller labels and operator interface. Record replacement computers or changed hardware, because a model-level specification may no longer describe the offered control system.

Used-equipment handover
Define a useful backup deliverable
Ask for the manufacturer-supported backup format and the settings needed to reproduce the accepted configuration. Include transport direction, magazine settings, recipe names and the documented interface assignment where relevant. Keep account credentials out of ordinary website or review files and arrange their approved handover separately. A folder called backup is not useful evidence unless its scope, version and recovery instructions are identified.
Used-equipment handover
Request demonstrated recovery within the approved procedure
Have the qualified supplier explain and, where appropriate, demonstrate the supported restoration process. Agree safeguards for boards and machine configuration before any commissioning exercise. Verify that the retained settings correspond to the accepted board sequence afterward. Do not attempt an unsupported controller reset as a buying test. A successful boot without the required transport configuration does not establish production readiness.

Used-equipment handover
Connect software ownership with service support
Confirm who may use the software, which licenses transfer and which service organization can support the installed version. Request wiring drawings and the option list with the machine record. Keep observed test results separate from promises of later support. The purchase decision should account for an incomplete recovery pack even when the mechanism looks clean and the demonstration runs normally.

Reference functions and configuration boundaries
The manufacturer references below support the equipment examples. The purchasing questions are an editorial decision framework, not measured LCSMT results or a machine-specific acceptance limit.
