Coating inspection
Specify what the operator is expected to judge
List the visible features to inspect, the board sides involved and the decision the operator records. Obtain the coating supplier instructions for any fluorescent indication used. Keep visibility assessment separate from thickness, cure and electrical acceptance. The PTB UV reference describes a coating-inspection workstation; its product image does not show a validated inspection method for your material or geometry.

Coating inspection
Qualify the viewing arrangement with examples
Prepare representative accepted and questionable examples whose status has been established by the process owner. Include shadowed regions, tall components and intended exclusion areas. Agree the viewing distance, lighting arrangement and safe use instructions with the supplier. Check whether the operator can observe the required regions without interfering with normal transport. Attractive fluorescence in a photograph is not evidence that all required areas can be judged.
Coating inspection
Keep the inspection result tied to the board
Define pass, hold and escalation decisions before the trial. Record board identity, coating revision and the issue location when an assembly is held. Confirm what happens to material waiting upstream while the operator makes a decision. A workstation stop can create a bottleneck even when belt motion is fast. Test a realistic inspection workload rather than measuring only an uninspected transfer.

Coating inspection
Request the included equipment and limitations
Ask which lighting, shielding, controls and operator provisions are included in the quote. Obtain the relevant equipment safety instructions rather than improvising access around an illuminated enclosure. Require a written statement of inspection scope. A compatible coating indication supports a defined visual task; hidden surfaces, cure verification and other acceptance tests may require separate methods.

The manufacturer references below support the equipment examples. The purchasing questions are an editorial decision framework, not measured LCSMT results or a machine-specific acceptance limit.
