Application and identification

THK’s current European product page describes MG70 for 70 g and 80 g bellows cartridges. It shows the gun and attachments, describes a slit window for checking remaining grease, and separates Type H from the Type U arrangement with N, P or L tips. These are tool and access distinctions, not a recommendation to apply a particular grease to every SMT machine. The official transparent illustration is reused unchanged as the master; no new background-removal request was needed.

02 / Check before ordering

Match the installed part

The family page groups related variants; it does not imply that variants are interchangeable.

  1. Identify the approved lubricant and actual cartridge construction; do not equate equal weight with equal interface.
  2. Record the lubrication port or nipple and working access, then use THK’s applicable attachment information.
  3. Ask whether the offered delivery contains the gun, Type U, N/P/L attachments and Type H, or a smaller explicitly described scope.

03 / Make a useful decision

Selection and replacement advice

Choose the required lubricant from the actual machine documentation before choosing the dispensing tool. Then compare cartridge format, the lubrication nipple or opening, available access and the proposed nozzle set. A cartridge weight alone does not establish a sealed mechanical connection or the right application method. When comparing tool quotations, distinguish a complete kit from a gun-only or replacement-attachment offer. THK’s European page lists the supplied attachment arrangement; an actual seller must still state what its quotation includes. A 400 g grease requirement belongs in a separate tool enquiry rather than being assumed to fit MG70.

04 / Care and handling

Maintenance and handling guidance

Keep the tool and lubricant identity with the maintenance record, especially when several formulations are used in the same workshop. Do not infer the contents of an unlabelled gun.

Use the applicable THK and machine instructions for loading, attachment fitting and application. No number of strokes, lubricant dose, pressure setting or service interval is prescribed here.

Sources, photos and condition

Stock, authenticity, condition, test results and interchangeability require separate evidence. A family photograph cannot prove them.

05 / Before you ask

Questions about this family

Does MG70 accept a 400 g cartridge?

THK’s retained European page specifies 70 g and 80 g bellows cartridges and directs 400 g requirements separately. A 400 g MG70 fit is not established.

Is one nozzle suitable for every machine point?

No. THK distinguishes nozzle arrangements and supported access conditions. Check the actual port and applicable documentation.

Does every quote include the illustrated attachments?

The manufacturer describes a kit arrangement, but the seller’s actual delivery scope still needs to be stated and verified.
